Experimental Sequential Art
MIT | CMS 306
Over the course of a CMS 306 class (Making Comics and Sequential Art), I lead MIT graduate and undergraduate students in exploring the intersection of form, narrative, design, and comics.
Throughout the session, I shared case studies from my creative practice and invited students to create their own comics. By breaking down complex forms into simple shapes and offering a range of creative prompts, we stretched our thinking around what comics can be and do.

Zines as Self Expression & Activism
Holyoke High School
Over the course of two days, I facilitated workshops with a total of 75 students at Holyoke High School as part of an initiative to promote diversity and accessibility in zines. As someone whose design education and professional career both started with designing for and with young people, working with students holds a special place in my heart.
Each session invited students to create a page for a collaborative zine exploring feelings of anxiety and hope. To make the process accessible, we provided open-ended templates that offered structure while allowing space for personal reflection and conversation. Given the students' varied experiences with art, offering multiple entry points for engagement was key.
