Pao Arts center | 2021
Each fall, Pao Arts Center celebrates Experience Chinatown by pairing local businesses with artists to create murals.
Growing up 1/4 Chinese in the suburbs of Boston, Chinatown represented a place to gather and connect with my family and heritage through food. When posed with the question "how do you nurture the Chinatown community in 2021?", I drew inspiration from the role APM Coffee plays in nourishing the souls and bodies of the community.
Process

🎨 iterating to develop a final design based on APM Coffee’s and the Pao Arts Center’s feedback

City of Boston PaintBox | 2022
Due to its history with the Orange line, celebrating and engaging with Jamaica Plain’s green space is both a joyous and radical act. This box commemorates the vibrant life that outdoor spaces in JP support. Whether it’s joining a community garden, savoring the whispers of JP Honk at Stony Brook station, or simply stroking the 5 toed bodega cat on Mozart St, the outdoors has the ability to bring us together. The four sides of the box cycle through the four seasons, highlighting the biological diversity of the Arnold Arboretum, local festivals (such as WUTE, JP Porch Fest, the Lantern Festival), and outdoor activities along the Southwest Corridor and Jamaica Pond.
